Ever felt like your relationship with God is one sided? If so, this message is for you!

I'm sure everyone knows the scenario of being in a group and feeling like no one listens when you try to say something. It's aggravating, been there done that. Sometimes I know that our relationship with Jesus can feel like that. There are times when we talk and talk and we pray and pray and it feels as if we're being ignored, it is not a good feeling. But the good thing is that we couldn't be more wrong about that situation. God is that one person who hears you, the person who answers you or asks the next question, so you don't feel stupid, or worse invisible. (Don't you just love those people?) Now it may take him a little longer than we want to respond but know you can always count on him listening. He tells us this in his word. Psalms 145:18 states, "The Lord is nigh unto all of them that call upon him to all that call upon him in truth." He always hears us. I know we have seasons in life where it feels like we're pushing a rope uphill, and nothing seems to be going our way. Just bad news after bad news. In these seasons we begin to turn and ask God many different questions. We may begin to get angry or upset because we feel as if he isn't listening or more than often, we feel like he doesn't even care. But he does listen, and he cares about us and what we're going through, he does hear us calling out to him, and he sees every tear that falls. In Luke chapter twelve the Lord talks about the sparrows and how none of them are forgotten by him. He then goes on to talk about how he cares for us far more than the sparrows, he cares for us so much he knows the number of hairs on our heads. So, if the Lord cares enough about us to know the amount of hair on our heads, don't you think he cares enough to listen when we call out to him too? And speaking of those tears, he sees each and every one. In Psalms 56:8 it states, "Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?" How amazing is it that God cares about us enough to keep our tears? The Lord loves you and he truly does listen. So, I ask that with whatever trials you may be going through in life you don't give up when you don't get results right away. Keep on talking to and relying on him. He never gives up on you, so don't give up on him.
